Shijiazhuang China

More than 20,000 travellers were delayed, with some forced to wait more than an hour in the traffic jam outside Beijing International Airport on Wednesday morning. Spring Airlines' daily flights departed from Beijing Airport at 6.30am and 7.45am with an average delay of two and a half hours.

Many travelers also chose to fly or train to Beijing with an additional flight option to change there. The Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway crosses Shijiazhuang and opens two of China's largest cities. It is very convenient to get an express train (2 hours) connecting to and from Beijing.

Shijiazhuang City resembles Beijing, as all roads run north-south, east-west, making it easy to reach.

Beijing and Tianjin are to the north, the Bohai Sea to the east, the Taihang Mountains to the west, the Yangtze River to the south, the Gansu River and the Shijiazhuang River to the east.

The northern province, which stretches around Beijing and Tianjin, is one of China's largest and most populous, largely coal-fired - and burning. Without doubt, Shijiazhuang, which is at the intersection of China's three main railway lines and is connected by a network of highways from Beijing to Taiyuan and Cangzhou, is China's most important transport hub. Almost all of these dramatic developments are attributed to two railway lines built in the early 20th century.

It all began in the late 19th century, when the Beijinga Wuhan - Hankou railway reached the area, boosting trade and encouraging farmers to grow barley grain. When the Taiyuan railway line was extended to southwest Shaanxi, the city transformed from a local gathering center and market into a major economic center with a large number of shops, restaurants and shops. Shijiazhuang, an important city at the southern gateway to Beijing and located halfway between Shanxi Province and Shangdong Province, is now one of the most important traffic hubs in China, located on the eastern edge of the Taihang Mountains, which lies in the west between Cangzhou City and the capital Beijing.

Administratively, it is a city at the prefecture level and is administered under the jurisdiction of Shijiazhuang Prefecture, the provincial capital of Shanxi Province. It is wedged between the Beijing and Tianjin communities through a small part of the Hebei Sanhe exclave, which consists of a series of exclaves separated from the rest of the province.

Located 15 km from Pingshan County, it houses four grottoes dug during the Song Dynasty, one for each of China's three great dynasties.

Shijiazhuang is a major exporter and importer, and has a stable economy, although it is overshadowed by the neighboring city of Pingshan, China's second-largest city. It is also one of the country's most popular tourist destinations, making it the best place to get great bargains. It is located at the intersection of three main roads and is the only major highway between Beijing and Shanghai, as well as between the two major cities of Shanghai and Beijing.

Thousands of restaurants in the city offer a wide range of food and beverages, as well as a variety of entertainment and shopping options.

A big part of global mobility is knowing where to go, and China is a big country, so if you want to study or travel in China, you need to know one thing: learn Chinese in Shijiazhuang. This means not only using Chinese in class, but also learning about real Chinese life. If you live with a host family, you will practice Chinese and immerse yourself in Chinese culture and eat many different amazing Chinese dishes while teaching English to your son or daughter in exchange.

In addition to international flights to Asia, there are many domestic flights from China at Zhengding International Airport in Shijiazhuang. There are many trains in and out of ShijiZhuanang, and it is one of the largest railway hubs in China, with trains from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangdong, Hainan, Chongqing, Hebei, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Guangxi.

Here you can learn a lot about the history of China, and some of the museums are even free to visit. If you are willing to live in the real China and embrace its culture while improving your language skills considerably, this is the place to be.

The name "Shijiazhuang" means "Villige Shi Family" in Chinese, after the family that developed from a small hamlet into today's prosperous city of Shij Diazhuang. He was a leading actor in the Beijing Opera Studio for a long time and had a long and successful career as a painter, sculptor and architect in China. Designed by a well-known Chinese bricklayer, the unusual 7.23 metre high arch makes it one of the largest arches of its kind in the world.

It was an insignificant city until it was seen as an opportunity to become an important regional transport hub in the late 19th and early 20th centuries due to its proximity to Shijiazhuang City.
